1-1/2″ HAMMOND roller bearing for trough end with end shaft utilizes a high-strength dual tapered roller bearing end thrust capable of handling extra-heavy radial and thrust loads in any direction. When starting up a screw conveyor, thrust is created in the direction opposite to the flow of material. If the thrust is not properly contained, it will wear on the hanger bearings, trough end, and screw. The Chevron bearing adequately handles these thrust loads and is recommended for screw conveyor applications rather than a self-aligning ball bearing.
